Is your teen having a hard time with school work?

Is your teen having challenges staying on top of school work or procrastination? Are perfectionism, fear of failure, and anxiety holding them back? Do anxiety, perfectionism, or fear of failure make it harder for them to reach their full potential? We help teens develop the skills and confidence they need to navigate school and daily life with more ease.

Helping Teens Build Skills for Success

At Kind Brain Therapy, we provide evidence-based services tailored to teens with ADHD, anxiety trauma and depression. From managing schoolwork to regulating emotions, our specialized therapies empower teens to overcome challenges and thrive in every aspect of life.

Occupational Therapy

Building Routines, homework skills

Occupational Therapy helps teens with ADHD create structure and develop practical skills to tackle daily challenges. We work on:

  • Time management and planning for assignments.

  • Creating study habits that work for their unique learning style.

  • Building routines to stay organized at home and school.

  • Managing sensory sensitivities to reduce overwhelm.

Psychotherapy

Emotional Regulation, help with perfectionism

Our psychotherapy sessions give teens a safe space to explore their feelings and develop emotional tools. Using approaches like CBT and DBT, we help teens:

  • Improve emotional regulation and manage stress.

  • Overcome self-doubt and perfectionism.

  • Build stronger relationships with family and peers.

Walk & Talk Therapy

Fresh air, clearer mind

Therapy doesn’t have to mean sitting in a chair. Our Walk and Talk Therapy sessions combine physical movement with emotional support. Teens can:

  • Feel more at ease while discussing challenges.

  • Benefit from the calming effects of nature.

  • Learn mindfulness techniques to stay grounded.

Creative Therapy

Express, discover, heal

Creative Therapy encourages teens to explore their emotions and thoughts in non-traditional ways. Through art and journaling, teens can:

  • Process complex feelings without needing to find the “right” words.

  • Build self-awareness and confidence.

  • Discover new ways to cope with stress.

Somatic Therapy

Connecting mind and body

ADHD isn’t just in the mind—it affects the body too. Somatic Therapy focuses on the mind-body connection to help teens:

  • Release tension and manage physical restlessness.

  • Regulate their nervous system for a calmer mindset.

  • Build awareness of how emotions show up in their bodies.

Improving Academic Success

ADHD can turn routine tasks into overwhelming challenges, especially for teens juggling school, social pressures, and growing responsibilities. Your teen is bright, capable, and full of potential, but ADHD can make staying organized, managing time, and keeping up academically feel nearly impossible. As a parent, it’s hard to watch them struggle and not know how to help.

At Kind Brain Therapy, we understand these challenges and offer compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy tailored to your teen’s unique needs. Together, we’ll help them build focus, confidence, and essential skills to succeed in school and beyond. They don’t have to struggle alone—and neither do you.
